Exhaust notes change all the time, I've noticed different tones in different climates...such as humid, or frigid cold. The raspy and/or hum changes slightly. However, it will change otherwise, these things aren't meant to last for very long (5-8) years. Maybe less.

The magnaflow Catback is meant to last forever, hence the warranty. Yeah im really pleased with this system, it has grown on me significantly, its excellent, the sound cruising is perfect and its not ricey, with a little gurgle when you let off the throttle, fitment is perfect and the construction is excellent, its straight through design and i did actually feel some gains throughout the powerband, unlike my intake which did little. here are some pics, if you want more of a certain angle, etc shoot me a pm.

What kind of gains did you get? 1500whp? Were the gains truly eyeball-flattening or is this just seat-of-the-pants speculation?

i have a magnaflow dual tip muffler, custom 2.25" mandrel piping with a magnaflow hi flow cat on my 91 that im going to be selling, as soon as i can find a stock cat. convertor to put back on...

the exhaust came on the car, so idk about power gains, but the tone isnt too bad. not really ricey, just too loud IMO.

the exhaust is not loud, but its there, not loud in the car, but when your on it you can hear it until the intake gets loud around 4k, the exhaust sounds alot like the rsx clip on the magnaflow site. When i installed my short ram i didnt notice much, when i installed the catback, i actually noticed a little bit of a gain the car seems more willing to rev, and the rpm and speedo move up a bit faster, definately gains here, little bit of torque steer in 2nd, im a skeptical guy too
