    Solid urethane mount vibration issue

So maybe this is not the right section because this is in my ej8 but
I just did a b20 swap in my ej8 "ek" and I am using solid urethane swap mounts for my swap. The mount kit I bought comes with 3 like for our cb7s
I don't have a torque mount in and I figure it will be ok because I know of a lot of cb7 guys who have solid mounts don't use one with out this issue
I know I should feel a little vibration from the motor with solid mounts but I would expect it to be like a every thing is super solid type of vibration
the vibration I have is like lets shake the hell out everything and rattle anything that can rattle to the point I don't even like driving it like this.
I have ridden in cars with solid mounts before, mine is so much worse.
Could it be caused by not having torque mounts in or from just having cheap mounts or does anyone have any ideas what would cause it because its bad.
I was thinking about swapping a stock mount or 2 back in but I really don't want to. the vibration is bad at high idle and when I am driving and kinda all of the time except when its warmed at at idle

It's solid mounts...everything is supposed to shake.
You are going to feel a LOT of vibration at low RPMS <1500, just the nature of the beast. I had Innovative's hardest compound in my Prelude and it wasn't bad...once you get used to it.

What grade urethane are you running? How long have you been driving it?

These are are the mounts. I don't know what compound they are but stuff that never used to rattle in my car rattles do you think if I put the torque mount back in it will help the problem or not?

I doubt it. Torque mounts usually just keep the motor from rocking back and forth under power.

Without knowing the grade of urethane, it's hard to say the stiffness of the mounts.

Sad they don't advertise the stiffness. I'd guess they are really hard.

People with hard poly mounts (other sites) have complained that any hardware not extra tight or with loctite will start walking loose. I hadn't seen that myself, but I also went with the softest option offered, and the vibrations were still quite strong.

Really hard would be an understatement, they want to vibrate everything in my car
Do you guys think if I leave these aftermarket and motor and transmission mounts in and I replace the rear mount with a OEM mount it will help enough? Hello

Only one way to find out. Let us know if it helps?

What do you guys think, should I drill relief holes in my solid mounts or replace the rear mount with a oem mount

Drilling holes will destroy the mounts quickly. Replace with OEM mounts and see if the excess vibration goes away.

Well I need at least the motor mount because it's made to swap a b series into my chassis . If i keep it I think I should at least keep the matching trans mount. Do you think keeping them and replacing the rear will do anything? It seems like a lot of the vibration is coming through the rear motor mount but it's hard to tell
If I drilled them I would use a good sharp drill on a drill press

People say the rear mount transmits the most vibration. I don't have any experience with that myself, but if you don't have anything to lose, give it a shot.

So that's what I was thinking, probably why Honda uses a hydraulic rear mount on our cars
I figured what could it hurt so I pulled them out out and drill some holes in it on the drill press, I had to refrain from drilling bigger holes but this is what it looks like and when I put it back in the car it made a huge Improvement,, I also put around a hundred miles on it just driving on the freeway last night hoping that the mounts will soften up and it seems like they did a little but the holes really helped, hopefully it doesn't come apart
