Best Way to pull engine out of wrecked cb9

Hey all. I just have a question about going about pulling this engine out of this wrecked cb9 I got. Its a H23 vtec which I want to put in another chassis, hopefully a 5th gen prelude. I took the bumper off and some other things holding in the radiator , but I just cant get the radiator or the condensor because the rad is held in by the engine.

Does anyone know how to go about removing the condensor and radiator in this messed up thing? Its really the fans that are holding the rad in. The rad is totally busted as you can't really tell from looking at it.

I need to find a way to take off the consendor but that's warped to the radiator and won't come off. Tips/tricks?

Reciprocating saw should free that up.

Exactly. Hack that front end right off. It'll make the engine even easier to extract, too!

They should of, but I'm not 100 percent sure. Someone was giving me all these ideas of fixing it, and that they fixed cars before with salvage titles. They had to of cause that's what they did with the other wrecked car. And its not a salvage title is a none-repairable title. In VA the law is they have to send my title in to the DMV within 15 days in order to deem it "non-repairable". They might of forgot or something.

The insurance company never fully explained if I could have it put back on the road, I asked they just didn't really know. I'm calling the team who took care of it today they'll know. Cause like a good neighbor, state farm is there. Lmao.

I'm not sure how VA does things, as that changes from state to state... but if it's non-repairable, then it's most likely never going to be able to be registered again. It's most definitely written off completely.
Usually, if insurance pays you for the car, and you buy it back to strip it for parts, that's all its good for. Amazingly, if they sold it back for $170, that alone is impressive. Scrap value for the shell should be at least $200! That's $30 profit for doing nothing at all!

What is the scrap value there? Scrap here is only $25 a ton.

I don't know how it works in VA, but in NH you get a salvage title from the insurance company. You do have the option to repair car to like-new condition, and at that point you bring the car to the DMV. A state trooper inspects the car to make sure all items have been repaired, then you are given a "rebuilt" title. Which at that point you can legally register and drive the car on public roads again. That only matters for cars 2000 and newer here however. NH does not issue titles for cars older than that.

Well, the title is issued by the state, not by the insurance company. So pretty much you get your check and a bill of sale from the insurance company, and thats that.

Really hows it works is, when you agree to the payout for the car, they "buy" the car from you. That's why it's called a "buy-back" when you ask to keep the car for 10% of the value. It's a win win for the insurance company on older cars when you buy it back. The $170 they keep for the car is less than they'd spend on the tow to the auction lot! Nevermind auction fees and storage fees.
