    Jacking the Rear for Stands

Seems like an obvious answer but my issue is the jack only goes about 3" higher than the stand. I cannot reach the cross member with the exhaust in my way and coming from the rear my head would be under the car when it is time to lower it. Is there more solid frame under the side skirts I could use?

The goal is for stands to be on the rear extrusion points of the frame.

I've stacked 2x4s on my jack and put them under the cross member/support beam.
I can't remember the name, but it's the strong metal thing that connects the two rear wheels.

Lot's of height, and I can still use the outer jack points.

        NO!

        Not the sway bar.
It's a thicker beam. From memory the sway bar attaches to it in the middle. Not the ends.

I can't find it on Majestic Honda.
It's the beam where the lower control arms connect to.

I know what You're talking about. Isn't it called the rear crossmember? You got me questioning myself now.

yeah this one, I think it is sturdy enough.

I am afraid of lifting mine from the rear, never done before, cause I don't have a plane ground my parking lot is inclined.

right there on the trailing arm knuckle is fine, also theres a big upside down pyramid shaped hump under the trunk that I use..just because sometimes i want to get the whole ass end up at once. also your jack might need topped off with oil. my trusty rusty jack used to not be able to get all the way up so i could only get 2 or 3 clicks on the stands before the jack maxed out. I just topped it off with air tool oil (mineral oil) and gained about damn near 10inches of lift. DONT USE BRAKE FLUID. even baby oil would work. so that may be one of your issues for height. and yes it sucks getting it in the air in 4 steps stair casing it lol.

oh and i added the oil about 2.5 years ago no problems and i use it a lot..you dont need expensive "jack oil"..just mineral oil and NEVER brake fluid or trans fluid, itll eat the seals quicker than shit.

Well the problem with the area I am pointing to (this is the driver side) ,on the passenger side the exhaust gets in the way. I will try oiling it up as I got it from a friend and he's had it for years of abuse and it still stays up, but not sure if it is all the way.
