Lucas Oil Stabilizer ok to use?

Is Lucas Oil stabilizer ok to use in our engines? A buddy of mine gave me a bottle and said it was the best thing ever for a healthy engine. said it was like vitamins for you oil. I have never used any oil additive so i thought i would ask cb7tuner's opinion first

i dont really see a need for an oil additive. I'd feel weird adding one to my motor. I use mobil1 Synthetic 5w30 in my h22 and it loves it.

I hope the first buddy is not the same person as the second one or vice versa.

So you have two buddies of one extreme to the other. I vote for not to use that stuff.

I tried that "Engine Restore" that you get in a can in my 89 Accord that i had about five years ago, through a rod 80 something miles later.

I also tried switching to Castrol Syntec in the 92 Accord i had, pushed the crank seal out within 250 miles.

I dont use any oil additives or synthetics.

I think Deev said it best. Don't put shit in your engine. Simple as that.
