I have a ? about taking off the air intake

Ok I took off my stock air intake and am replacing it with a short ram air intake. With that said I want to remove anything that has to do with the old air intake just so make the bay look alot better. So I have it all out and now I am down to this little black box that has 2 vaccum lines and a sensor going to it. The one vaccum line I had going to the air box itself so I'm worried about that, but the other vaccum line goes to a round metal pice that sits on a black tube that went into the end of the intake box. I just want to know if I can remove the black box, and the long black tube with no codes or any other problems comming to a front. I dont want to hurt my baby!

I pulled them all out when I did mine. You will have to remove the bumper and fender to get everything out though. In a technical aspect I can't verify it hurt anything, but I never had any trouble with my car.

I left the little "feeder" tubes on mine. They're fucntional, they serve a purpose; why not use them?

Im not 100%, as it's been a long time, but I dont recall having to remove my bumper to "undo" my OEM intake. I dont think.

I'm talking about removing the black tubes that are ran thru the engine bay walls. I can't remember since its been a while

lol hes taken care of it, was talking to him about it on facebook. he just wanted to make sure it was not something that was gonna mess thing up by taking it off. and there is ice sized air box type thing right behind the splash shield thats part of the intake system.

Ah yes... the monthly "is it safe to remove this thing with wires and vacuum tubes running to it on my intake" thread.

What does that box do any way? I don't see it in the manual any where? So what do you take off without hurting the car? That long vacuum tube, do we just plug it? I think there's an electrical plug to it.
                        Thanks.

Ya, anyone know what that electrical/sensor plug is for?
                          I've never seen that before.
