Car Woes, Pissed, Money Pit etc..

So yeah I'm pretty much down to my last skin on my back.
Most know I have that civic, I have not been on here for a long time due to not working, and constant engine problems.

So now My engine is Garbage yet again, head-gasket is junk, and on top of that oil seals are gone, creating TONS of pressure in crankcase pushing oil out all over my car, rear of car, back of engine etc.

So yeah, now i have a junk car, needs new inner tie rods, etc, couldn't get an alignment. so Now i'm in a pickle.

I have K1 Rods, and Wiesco pistons for building my motor.

should I just swap another Motor in it for 350$ or ride like it is and waste money on coolant/oil.

its just one thing after another.

Why not just swap in a motor and keep it stock?
Sure it may not be as "fun", but at least it'll be dependable again.

IMO just because of a head gasket issue i would'nt call it quits.Sure you've got the seal problems, but 90% of cars if not more have this.Id buy a set of ARP head studs have the head checked an milled if needed put it back together an drive it.Build another engine on the side that will accept boost more on the daily end of things. The d17 is the red headed step child of the D's, but a few on another fourm im on have done it an one had no issue's an he was around 270whp an im pretty sure he was mostly stock internally wise.He ended up just putting a k series in his maybe you should think of doing the same.

you need to concentrate on some cash flow bro
its the only way, you'll be able to float
          if this is your daily

spend the $350 on a new engine, and ditch the turbo
keep the old block and rebuild it, use the pistons and rods
light hone, new rings, new bearings

keeping the turbo on this car, will leave you skinless, and it sucks having to give it up, but that way you can build that d17 with some hard core parts and then not having to worry about the engine at all

you could always put a stock motor in it to get you by and k swap it down the road. piss on that little d17 turbo setup. a stock h22 accord can keep up with that

In all honesty, turbo/performance cars a money pits. You should for sure get a stock engine (with a warranty if possible) and ride that for awhile. Do everything you can to save money for awhile and let some funds accumulate. Then when you have more than enough money to get back in the game, order your pieces and rebuild the engine around whatever you can salvage.

Don't live beyond your means and you can do anything
Being normal is probably the lamest thing you can try to be

Stock engine bro, pull the turbo and keep it on the side, get a job, then worry about building an engine. Obviously you aren't in the financial position to build an engine and that little turbo is blowing thru stock engines like water

                  It's YOU

You are always destroying cars. You destroyed one or two CB's that I can remember, and now the Civic. You probably shouldn't modify cars if you can't do it right or take care of the car.

Yes Sir, I have ARP Headstuds already installed and still blow headgaskets. The head was milled and checked and was perfectly flat before i put the headgasket on

Btw, no way he was 270whp stock bottom end. Can only handle up to 210whp on stock block.

I was thinking of the K route but to expensive.

Warranty does not matter if you install it, Warrantys are only good if your a certified shop doing the work .

well I do have all my peices except the bearings, then i gotta get blocked milled, bored etc.!
