Check the connector on the drivers side strut tower by the resistor pack. If you are auto it'll be like 5 or 6 wire, if yo uare 5 speed it'll be 3-wire. The 3-wires are the VSS. Make sure that connector is snug.

just asking if it isnt the wiring do u guys think it could be something in the tranny. well where the hole is for the vss?

        thanks

It's not likely that there's a problem in tranny. Does the CEL turn on?

maybe the shaft in the tranny is broke or is not sending anything.

Are you changing the complete sensor with the gear on it or just to top electircal part?

the full speed sensor. three of them to be exact. one from a h23 tranny. 93 ex vss(5psd) and a 92 lx vss (5spd)

Jack the front of the car up and secure it on jack stands, put the tranny in neutral, get a volt meter, connect the negative lead to pin A26 on the ECU harness and the positive to pin B10 on the ECU harness, block the right front wheel so it cannot turn and slowly turn the left front wheel. The voltage should pulse between 0-5 volts. If it doesn't check the wiring, connections, and etc. It could be the speedo driver in the transmission but I've never seen one break.

                          Hi,

I was just wondering what ever came of this? Did you get your problem fixed? I'm having the same problem - started after the f22a1 < f22A swap.
Info is really appreciated by me!

which one is the A26 and the B10?

is it only the left front wheel that sends the voltage?
