it's a transmission with three studs and no other bosses to drill and tap for other stud mounting.

like the 5th gen tranny and preludes trans, there's already holes where you can drill and tap for a mounting stud.

mine just has three studs and no other option. im just wonderinf if there's a difference between ex/dx/lx. it fit into a 90 ex perfectly.

ok so its an accord transmission, was thinking it could be something from a lude or whatever. without the extra stud holes you wont be able to use the ESP conversion mount, youll need to cut and weld the 5spd bracket on the engine bay.

ive never noticed any noticable visible difference between them... too bad its not installed or you could calculate out the gear ratios to figure out which it is, but i guess at that point finding out its already too late :P

thats cool, im hoping ordering a 5th gen manual bracket wont be too difficult. i bet i could probably fabricate my own but why bother for 71 dollars.

90-91 Accord EX transmissions don't have the place for the 4th stud. Also, they have weak mainshafts and 3rd gear synchros. Gearspeed won't rebuild them or take them as a core. I know this because that is the trans that I had when I went to Gearspeed for my new tranny.

So that is probably what you have as well...
