    Wheel speed sensor

    Where can I find a cheap ABS wheel speed sensor?!

    Everywhere I look they're all over 150+ dollars for our gen cars..

    ABS light is annoying...

    that's where i got mine!

    ended up coming from a junkyard in NC.... shipped it to me in MA.

    dont recall the price. helluva lot cheaper than new!

      Yeah just get one from a junkyard. Although your taking a risk its better than $150 for a new one.

        If you unhook your ABS that has nothing to do with your speedometer not working right?

          No. there's a different sensor in the transmission for that one. VSS

          the ABS one just monitors every wheel in a slide so that it can control them independently.

            Before you get new sensors, take a look at the magnetic toothed ring. I bought new sensors before bothering to check the ring.
            MRT
            37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
            30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
            27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

                ive got 3, i lost the driver side one and then decided to removed ABS in order to get rid of the light and system, it depends on which one you need but the only reason i saved the sensors when i removed ABS was for occasions like these.

                  I misspoke, I changed my sensor and the problem moved to a different wheel. I'm going to change that wheels sensor and see if the problem goes away.

                  However: When I looked at mine I did see some corrosion filling the spaces where the teeth should be. I have a feeling that once I do the other wheels sensor It will throw a code for the toothed ring.
