Does this axle look in all the way?

These are Driveshaft Shop Axles...so those that have these on their car or are familiar...please respond!

Ok I gave up somewhat on the P/S axle but I got the D/S in with a little muscle...it took some effort and a lot of grease to make it go through the hub. But what i'm wondering is the way it sits inside the intermediate shaft...it just looks like its not in all the way?

Yet, its clipped in and i have to pull it really hard for it to pop out of there. I drove around on it like this and it seems fine...turned wheel lock to lock and nothing strange happened.

how does it look? does it look like its in all the way? It looks like it has a race thats bigger in dia. so that part won't go in...is that correct?

btw, i contacted DSS and they said these are their old level 2 400hp axles.

    Here's the pics:

yeah but these are Driveshaft shop axles...they're made differently than a normal OE axle. They have a race on them thats a bigger diameter...thats why I wanted someone's opinion who has them and if they could compare theirs to mine, and see if it all checks out.

The boot looks really weird...thats what scares me. It drives fine though...and the axle locked in.

I tried shoving it in more but it wouldn't go. I just drove 15 miles on the interstate and nothing flew apart

Boot looks fine just a little tight... Pull where its clamped towards the center a little bit to take some stress of it and you should be fine. If it doesn't pop out or leak fluid I wouldn't worry about it.

why does that inner CV joint have such a weird looking shaft? its excessive diameter mated up against the halfshaft makes it look like a prelude halfshaft, but it appears to be the correct one, just the wrong axle spline. the boot DOES look a little scrunched, which technically isnt bad, but indicates that the joint isnt installed all the way... sometimes remans and stuff come like that though and only require a slight adjustment by pulling it out with ur hand.

Looks like maybe DSS used the wrong type of inner joint... or they used it on purpose knowing the overall length will be correct? Either way, at least you know it doesnt require any sort of a seal, since theres no oil there, so it may be fine. just looks wrong though.

Prelude axles aint gonna work with an accord half.

That thing dont fit right though.. The axleshaft isnt bound??? Looks like it.

Yea that's what I thought at first but I drove 30 miles on it already and it drove like normal I can't pop that end in any furthur though without taking the other end out of the hub

Does that inboard CV have splines all the way down it or only half way? If only half way, does the other one look the same? The partially splined shaft should be in the tranny and the fully splined shaft in the intermediate...... might have flipped sides inadvertantly......
