    where'd my antenna go......

i just replaced the power antenna on the back of the car and today realized i'm going to have to keep an eye on it to make sure it goes up right this winter....seeing as i'm looking out the window at a wonderful ice storm! Any ideas on how to protect it from freezing up? How badly will it damage the internal workings should i forget about the thing and it goes to power up when frozen?

Spray some Pam on it. Should keep it slick and hopefully it won't freeze.

Actually, Pam does work. If you spray it on your rims, the snow will just slide off. Anywhere you spray it, nonstick. I've used it many times when I go to the mountains.

Willing to try anything.....I live in Canada, more salt and ice than you can imagine. I found an OEM power antenna so I'm not about to f*ck it up.

I didn't want the power antenna at first....but it looks so good when it comes up with the auto start.

Just help me keep it working.
