    brake lamp light

    my brake lamp light came on, and my brake lights are working so what does this mean?

      happened to my old car, i just figured it was the brake-out detector circuit, which i believe are the brown and black boxes mounted inside of the tail lights.

      i just left it on, i knew my brake lights worked fine.

        well how many are there? left, right, and middle? if so they are all in working condition

          they may be on when you have your lights on but since they are dual filament bulbs it is possibly that when you put your brakes on with the lights on that one might not light up as bright as the others. back up to a building that you can see your reflection in easily in the windows and then turn your lights on and also press the brake pedal and see if they all light up with even brightness.
