i wasnt speaking in terms of dirtyness but that could be an issue too, im speaking of like water from the sink, bathtub,....water that isnt distilled

        I don't think it'd hurt. I mean, you drink it, don't ya?

I have half radiator fluid, and half water from a water hose.
            Nothing bad so far.

Well, except the mixture did create some havoc in my engine bay. It started making all sorts of weird noises. I took the engine out and found this in the radiator...

If it makes you feel better, Ive had my wagon 4 years and it had a small water leak up until about a few months ago and ive added water every month from the hose pipe. No antifreeze or anything. But its recommended to use coolant if you have no leaks and dont plan on draining it out soon...while it being summer time.

you're supposed to use distilled water because regular water has minerals that can build up in the cooling system. later.

Ya make a great point. Notice how shower heads get clogged up all the time? Thats probably whats going to happen to your radiator. But knock on wood it hasnt happened to me yet.
