    engine fallout support brace/cross member

i am trying to put the support brace but it looks like its too long for some reason. i took it off 2 hours ago and now it won't aligne with the bolt holes

anyone knows how to put this shit in its place

by the way the support brace is that bar that goes from the cross member(front of engine) to the back of the engine.
are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet

happens to me all the fucking time...

loosen the front crossmember bolts first????

i usually enlarge the mount holes by a little bit.

my take on the situation is that while youve been driving it, something got bent outta whack by a little bit (the beam itself bent a little, from bottoming out?), and it wasnt noticable when you were removing it, but it is now.....

actually now that i think about it, how do you have the car jacked up in the air? is it resting on jackstands behind the front wheels? the engine bay might be "sagging". try jacking it up from the front corners by the tow hooks.

yeah that is what i was thinking. the support brace was too short. i had my car on bridges. if i had it on stands it would be too long because the engine bay was "sagging".. but my paps went and fix it. (his car) he showed me what 30 years of working with big machinery does for you.... lol.... should have let him work on his car before i went in and tried my best lol

          thanks for the replies guys....
