found out why my tranny squeeks

I called my shop earlier and they told me at rpmracing.com that the reason why my tranny squeeks why i still dont believe them is because of my clutch. They said that the material of my clutch is causing it to squeek a bit like a cricket it not annoying but youll know if im there it sounds annoying its not the throwoutbearing cause its brandnew i had it changed because it failed.

But now I was thinkin how do you know if its the imputshaft bearing? Any takers I really wanna fet this shit out the way its getting all my nerves what would you guys do in this situation would you still [roceed in the allmotor quest of just say you know what fuck it as long as its running properly just get the allmotor shit until something breaks then fix it. Ohyeah the type of clutch that i have is an ACT heavyduty street/strip sprung hub disk with a quaife limitedslip differential.

how do you know if a throwout bearing could be fucked up or something besides that is there a good chance that ive messed up my shifter fork? do i need to bleed my clutch slave cylinder again?

i say its more of the shift but then again once in a while after it sits overnight it puts up a little bit of resistance when goin into first after it warms up it a-ok

sometimes my car won't go into first. so what i do is slide to second then first...works every time. not sure exactly what that does but whatever. and sometimes this happens even if i've been stopped for a while like in neutral at a light.

try to put it in first...won't work.
put it in second then first...and it works.

reverse is a bitch sometimes too.

oh and sometimes, when i let the clutch out REAL SLOW, my car makes this sound like a retarded kid screaming. (no offense to those mentally challenged)

              like ...eehhhhaaannnnn.

however, it NEVER happens if i let the clutch out fast.

              any ideas?

big problem now fizz now my shit shifts but when I shift hard its like it gets jammed and plus a heavyduty street/strip sprung hub disk shouldnt sometimes I have to jam it a bit in the third gear when im racing not good when I shift its like a bit spongy and my prelude shitfer when its in neutral it goes to the left easily but to the right when its in neutral puts a bit bit of resistance why?

h22sparkle... I must have the same problem as you.... push in teh pedal, and it squeaks. And sometimes when im stopped at a light, I have to push it 2 times to get it to shift, not all teh time though.

Holy fucks our tranny's are the best thing to do if its squeeking is to just deal with it and perhaps to bleed the clutch slave cylinder.

Also when you guys shift from a stop does it ever feel kinda light even though its a racing clutch thats also for the street???? As for the squeeking it could be the material of the clutch did you guys have it resurfaced when it was done have you guys had a clutch change lately. Does the clutch feel a bit spongy once in a while??

cp mike yes that is normal its your shifter cable it does that due to normal wear nothing to worry about. and 92lx do you shift into first when coming to a stop when your at 5mph cause sometiems it does that.

As for me I dont know what to do anymore im just outta luck Imma just drive it till something happens im saving up im almost done with my car I cant wait to havbe it truely finished I know it will but im waiting patiently .

I know this thread is 3 years old but I searched and found it. I have this problem. My clutch pedal squeaks when I push it in. I had a friend push it and I narrowed it down to the Slave cylinder area. It's not the slave cylinder, but the thing it's connected to. What is that called? I WD-40's the shit out of it and still squeaks. What is it, and if I replace it it should stop it right?

Sparkle said a few posts up that its a worn shift cable. I dunno tho.
