    Battery Problem

My battery every now and then will accumilate too much static in it and wont work. I will go to turn the car on, everything works, and then I go to start it, and it dies, everything goes off. I pop the hood, wiggle the neg. terminal around, and get the static off, and it works fine. I redid my ground wires, but they are much better than stock, and i shaved plenty of metal for the contacts. Should I get some of that battery grease or whatever that is called for it? It did it a few times in FL, but now that im in Michigan, it does it a little more.

Well my distributer is new, and not the alternator. But you dont think it would just be something stupid like not using that grease stuff?

If you can just pop the hood, and wiggle your negative cable....that could be the start of the problem.

wiggle? is it loose?? those OEM terminal post holders arent that great after a while and will break.

another....most auto stores have a diagnostic free for enging electronics....
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

No, everything is tight, I can twist the terminal post holder, but it takes a bit of force...its on plenty tight, and its new. Its just acting like its not grounded right... but theres no way it couldnt be.

That grease stuff is a dielectric compound which helps with a better connection.

Not sure on what's up though man... maybe we can troubleshoot it some weekend.
