our time has come: ESPnet weld-free 5spd conversion!

i finally got to try out one of esp-net's 5speed conversion transmission mounts this weekend. just as it was supposed to, it dropped right onto the transmission and lined up with everything perfectly. very well built piece, and the perfect solution for people converting to 5spd. its no longer a hack-and-weld deal, now it can all bolt right in no problem!

not that im trying to push his product, but ive been looking forward to a bolt-in conversion setup, and john really came through!

Very nice, I like hearing about the Accord market growing, to a certain extent, I don't care for it to become a huge fad either. Keeps it rather unique/uncommon to a degree.

very nice. is it the same height as the prelude mount? or does it set the motor leveled? cuz i know when you use the prelude mount, the motor sits crooked. it leans towards the tranny side.

no, its custom, to make the motor sit perfectly straight. thats whats so cool about it. its very similar to the prelude mount (it only fits on 5g acc/lude trannies) but it makes everything line up.

as far as price, yeah just hit him up... i IMed him monday evening, it showed up at my house on thursday.

scott: as far as vibration, i believe he said the inserts are 70 shore durometer. the car this went into received a set of 94a mounts elsewhere, so i couldnt compare it directly

no tapping required for a 5g acc/lude tranny, as it uses the stock stud locations.

tapping was only required to use a cb7 mount on one of those trannies, which is only for cb's that were originally 5spd.

this will not fit an F22A1, F22A4 tranny. only F22A6 trannies, any 5th gen tranny, and any prelude tranny (including f22,h23,h22). these trannies came with stud holes to accept this mount, same deal as the old bootleg prelude mount conversion.

yeah, it had the extra stud holes... possibly because its the same tranny they used on the F22 that came in the base prelude?

itd probably be better to distinguish by tranny code, rather than motor it came from... i just dont remember both. H2U5? something.
