Well, buying the entire kit would be wise, as their mounts are supposedly stronger and firmer than OEM mounts, even urethane filled ones... And they look nice

But it would be nice to have the conversion mount available seperately as well... CB7tuners are cheap.

Thats funny, wrong and inaccurate on so many levels. Stereotypically correct tho.

which is correct as far as i understand it. which is recommended anyway, because itd be a good idea to swap out the rear mount during a conversion. and at that point, might as well get the full set of solid mounts... instead of buying old used mounts for a conversion that may crack someday, grab a set of these and youll be completely set!

As a whole, cb7tuners are cheap.

They want DSM turbo kits with 14b turbos.
They want the cheapest nitrous kit.
            They want ebay motor swaps.

Not all of us are cheap, and those that are willing to spend the money to do things right have cars that are absolutely amazing. However, any company that attempts to base their success on those people, who are the clear minority, will fail.

Think about it. Most of the people who are here didn't get into the CB7 because they chose it... most of them got it because it was cheap, given to them, or simply the best car available at the time they were ready to purchase a car. Most of the CB7s on this forum were probably purchased for under $2000 (that is an unqualified statement, but I don't doubt it in the least).

If there is a cheaper option, cb7tuners will do it... unless the more expensive option is easier, and that ease justifies the additional cost. ESP would sell more single 5 speed conversion mounts than they would full kits, simply because people won't want to shell out the money for the full kit (even if the price is reasonable.)

Though I also fully agree that the full kit would be a wise purchase.

Does it require the DX/LX rear mount and bracket still?

Or do you just use the stock one?

the mount kit from ESP (whether it be the 5spd kit or the conversion kit) comes with the 5speed (DX/LX) style rear mount, so youd need to pick up a rear bracket for it. fortunately its the same as a prelude rear mount bracket, which comes included on many H22s

"I got the ESP mount kit and my tranny won't line up! Help"

"Just get an H22 and you'll be fine!"

^I can see that conversation happening in the near future...

A little too late here, but at least it will make future swaps much easier for people.

You know I only found this tread by accident. I reminded myself to check up upon this thread http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=73957 and what the dilly was since it's been awhile and no one answered me. Then I went to the HT thread http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1902689&page=3 which lead me back to CB7tuner and this current thread.

I am definately getting this. Even though I already bought the manual bracket that you're suppose to weld up. Fuck that. Even $100 will cover the money to have somone do that and time to rip off the old bracket. Fuck that.
This is my new favorite product for my car.
And I'm not getting all the mounts. Yes, I am poor and I have front and rear inserts and a side filled mount. And looks like I have a tranny filled mount now to sell.

So 100% this will only work on F22a6 trannies and 5th gen ones? This is the most important question. Sucks Deev.

                          Yeah, ya bastard

Understandable though... it'll make the H22 tranny a piece of cake.
