H23 Head swap legality.

If I do the H23 head swap must I have my car state REF? BAR? any input/comments helpful!

Im pretty sure you have to have everything stock from the same year for that engine in order to pass.So im guessing state ref will give you a hard time if you had one of those frankie blocks.You can give it a try and let us know how it goes.If you can figure a way to make it pass state ref let us know.

what are REF's? tahts so *** about california laws explain to me. like in ny you gotta have inspection and sometimes they give u hard time if u dont have papers for your motor if its swapped cuz it could be stolen... i didnt pass inspection becasue of EGR shit, but i knew the right people and got passed.

well, technically if you can get someone that is hella stupid smogging your car. the lower end does say f22X.

they might just let it go even though 90-93 never came with dual cams.
but you have to have the car running very well aka tune, smog equipment is legit and all that good stuff.

to pay someone off in cali? expect 300+ dollars. they are risking their job on this stuff.
