    Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

I think I just got screwed...by stupidity! I gave them all the information at the begining. You know, the little stuff like using the accord fuel rail...USE THE ACCORD WIRING HARNESS...etc. etc. they used the H32
Now they are going on telling me that, "oh this is going into wiring...not just swapping an engine...we're gonna have to start charging by the hour!.." blah blah blah. this is lame. I had to tell them...after they put on the jdm fuel rail, that the accord one needed to be used....I can see they didn't look at any of the information. Ugh...this better not come out to be a fortune! =(
how long does it take to switch wiring harnesses? cause they're gonna charge by the hour now to do that....

15 minutes to swap out the harness, maybe a bit more to modify it to fit. id be pissed if they charged me any more than 1 hour labor to put the accord harness back on.

ok good...cause the car is basically done...they just need to get the wires done radiator in...blah blah blah. I mean they're good at what they do...that's why I chose them. been going to them for a long time. I guess they just didn't trust my info that much??

man I wish I had the time to do this myself lol....

Did you give them written instructions on how to do things? Tell them that you will not pay above the quote, since you provided them with step-by-step instructions. If it comes to going to court, you'll have those instructions to back you up.

My shop took 2 weeks to do my swap. Cost me $1750.

yeah...I gave them everything I could find on this site. The FAQ on the H22A swap should have been enough! lol. I even gave them bits and pieces of timmy's journal lol. bascically I gave them what they asked for. at first I gave them the whole journal, but they said it would take them forever to read it and that they would charged me that too lol. but so far I know they are charging me 800 for the swap....they got me a new motor mount...so add some to that...and now they are gonna charge me per hour for all the wiring stuff. If they charge me more then 1300..I AM gonna dispute it.

When it's all done, if you get your sub-1300 price, don't settle for anything less than perfect! Even if they try to say it's a "custom" job, they're a certified shop, and you're paying them. You have the right to expect perfection. If they can't guarantee that, they shouldn't have taken on the job.

Agreed, so far everythings looks great...they are taking there time on doing it right. They're even waiting for a bolt for the powersteering...before they first try to start it. But I def agree....I'm not settling on anything but perfection..!

also...I'm not gonna fight with them right now...I don't want them to stop working! lol...on the other hand..I'm thinking about having a tow truck..towing my car to my house...replacing the harness and hooking up a radiator would be a lot easier than fighting with these guys and losing money! lol
