yeah, youll be losing .2 liters of displacement what numbers is it putting out?

and yes the jdm F22A's only came in one variation, no a1 a4 or a6. the JDM f22's are basically f22a6's.

the f20a actually has more power than the f22ax, japan does not have the "ax", and yes the motor is quite quick, i've been using it for awhile.

plus: are you talking about the sohc, or dohc?

im not sure of my numbers, so what u think get a f20 with 60,000mi for $700 shipped or f22a6 180,000mi for $350 locally

just depends on how the f22a6 was treated? is it in good condition? assumingly we already know the f20a is in mint condition due to the miles and the company you would buy it from. Honestly if I was going to spend that kind of money on a motor, I would just save up more and go for the h22, but thats me.

i think i goin for the cheap route is only 3oo to put in. so total i think like 700 for
the engine+install+tow. then i goin to sell it or baby it til i got a new car b/c this is becoming a waste of money

i found the engine but the damn old ppl at the yard take so long to test it.

Dude this is your motor and its sitting waiting for you to pay for it
                    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-95...temZ8071112299

If you spend 200 more and get about 80k plus of miles taken off and get a warranty. Your local purchase cant compare at all.Do you know why that motor is sitting at the yard out already? Do or can you hear it run since they arent giving you a warranty? So you'll spend 350 for a risk motor but not spend 550 max with shipping for a sure thing? I know you dont want to do this again so why even take the risk? If the $350 motor fails then your gonna spend 350 for a motor and about 500 to put it in only to turn around and spend it again prolly in less then a year. The only honest compression test the local junkyard is gonna do is compress your money in his pocket. Sounds corny but its the truth and you know it. I work at a junkard and wouldnt buy a motor unless I personally put it thru so many tests before the hassle of removing mine that it prolly still wont make it in my car. Nothing beats a warranty. You mentioned to me plenty of times your trying to put your car on the road and not having it sitting collecting dust. So do the affordable smart route because I think from what you say Your car has been sitting long enough and it shouldnt be risky enough to fail and have it sit again.

If you plan to sell your car. I would feel that if some heard that you replaced your motor with a Jdm motor that can last a easy another 100k would help more then saying you put some junk motor in that can fail at any moment.
