Just a suggestion for all you looking to do the swap...

When droppin the motor in from the top take the main crank pulley off, i did that with mine saves a lot of time trying to fit it in. Fits in nicely once the crank pulley is removed. once you get it in and bolted, put the pulley back on.

yeah, i definately agree... too bad i couldnt get it off with a set of hand tools it does take a lot of shifting otherwise.

Well I have to congratulate you on the project mike, I love it when people do there own work to their cars even if they dont have much experience at it, good job. Let us know how it does when you take her out on the road.

man have some balls and do it yourself.. the f22b swap is 10x easier than the h22a.. nothing to wire up..
just pull the old and drop in the new..
                      do it urself..

                        *grumbles to himself*

what the hell do i do now... the local exhaust places wont weld a new flange onto my cat, they say i need to buy a new cat for around $400, plus a new exhaust, and they cant order the flange anywhere, so i need to find a junked prelude VTEC (impossible) to get the flange cut from...

my dad teaches at the local highschool, hes gonna bring my downpipe to school tomorrow and see if the machine shop can cut out a matching flange, and possibly weld it onto that stupid cat.

please... suggestions? im not getting aftermarket headers or an exhaust right now (cant afford it)... but i CAN afford getting a matching flange welded on, but obviously thats too hard for muffler places to do

edit: if i order a catalytic converter for a prelude, will it match up to that enlarged house-shaped flange?

Header off eBay shipped = $150
Resonated test pipe off eBay = $50

Can you swing that? That'll get rid of your troubles.

Or you could always just cut the flange off your Accord DP and weld it to you Prelude DP
