    Specs of DOHC f22b

I tried looking in that stikcy but it says im locked out of it, so can i get the specs of the f22b. not just hp i mean torque cr, so forth. Sorry bout this thread its just that i cant see the sticky, and i am very interested in getting the f22b dohc since its liek the best non vtec engine for our cars out of the box for turbo reasons, and pluse DOHC is l33t in my head comapared to SOHC.

Sorry bout this, ill delete this once i get the specs, i tired searchin other forums but they jsut give me hp and i want the tq specs and cr and other info that can be helpful.

that list is wrong. its DOHC Non-VTEC 160hp/147 tq. 9.2 CR.

EDIT: nevermind, they just had the specs listed under the wrong engine.

I always wondered what the F22b originally came in. So you could buy a Prelude in Japan with either a H22 or F22b?

These are very similar motors and cheap alternatives to h22a's, yet still have serious potential, especially where turbos are concerned. The f22 is less common, but not hard to locate. The h23a1 is a USDM motor and is relatively easy to find too, especially when someone has swapped an h22a in place of it. Both are torquey as far as inline 4 hondas are concerned and make good useable power lower in the powerband. I'm not sure about the f22, but the h23 block will accept the h22 vtec head with some work and is similar to an ls/vtec setup.

PROS: good torque, easy to find, easy to install, accept boost better than a comparable h22a on stock internals

CONS: less power in the higher rpm, not equipped with VTEC (although one can be made to work)

The correct HP is actually 157...just a little weaker than the H23.

i've seen that with other motors......220hp is actually 217hp, etc......dynos say what all dynos say, all motors are different......usually 25% make more power than they should, 25% make less than they should, and 50% make exactly what they should
