ok so its pretty much set that I'm gonn a buy an H, my plan is to buy a long block since they are cheaper, and go ahead and get a Header and a set of cams to throw on it.


is there anything else I'll really need? I already have the tranny I want is the main reason for the longblock idea... I know I'll need an ECU, but anything else I'm overlooking?

knock sensor= 60ish dollars
iab box=45is dollars(how much i sold mine for.

p28 185ish if not cheaper..

not having to replace knock sensors for life=priceless..

the p13 SUCKS......it's not EXACTLY an OBD-1 ecu, more like a OBD .75.......the knock sensor setup is shit (only causes problems, doesn't monitor over 5500rpm, so knock there will still get you while you lose power due to it's overactive monitoring DOWN LOW)

i'd get a chipped p28, ditch the IAB box and juse use a vacuum port straight to the manifold, and call it a day

how do you "ditch" the IAB box? do you bypass the vac line somewhere? my buddy just ziptied his secondaries open. would that work ?

Yeah , long blocks dont come with the harness which sucks.

they often come with a cut harness... which is why they dont advertise that its included, because it isnt directly usable... an h22 swap can be done without the h22 harness, swap the oil pressure sensor and EGR valve over to the new h22 and all the old plugs should work, then youll need two standard round connectors, one for the vtec pressure sensor and one for the knock sensor... they are regular 2pin round connectors available on any accord in a junkyard...

thats the biggest waste of money, you dont even use all of those items. you dont even need the h22 harness, i used the f22a one. All you really need the harness for is the plugs for the 3 sensors, so if its cut then your still good to go because the plug ins are still there.
