    auto to manual conversion question

I was reading the swap forms and instead of helping they confused me more. im swaping from an automatic F22 trans to a manuel F22 trans, now instead of rewelding the braket on the frame can i use the 5th GEN Accord trany mount and put spacers on the driver side mount to level the engine.
can sombody please tell me if this is the correct way to do it. Or am i dummer then i thought

    Thank you

i have heard from tommi and cpmike that this will acually work. of course there will be small minor details to doing this, its not just bolt and go

if i am not mistaking this only works when going to a h series tranny the 4th gen lude and 5th gen accord mount are pretty much identical. the f series is different in which this is why you must reweld. f series you still have to reweld. i think that one post that had this is gone now though. i tried looking for it earlier. pm tommi to be sure though. but i think i remeber this quite well for i studied it for sometime.

yeah.. it only applies to the h22s.. i had to use the prelude tranny bracket and use spacers for the driver side mount.. but thats just for the h22.. its diff for the f series

someone on ebay was selling a auto/manual swap, i unno if it ended, but he had every single piece for it sealed and brand new, for like 100$...cause he was getting an h22 but that fell through or something, anyway. search it if it's not done.

Im doing the auto/manual tranny swap soon, but still need the mounts infos.. it's so confused.. maybe it's because im not good in english and I missed something important in the threads I've read.

Ok.. I keep the F22A auto motor, and put the complete F22A manual tranny kit.. everything from two EX Canadian 90 Sedan Accord.

                  So, if I take the 2 manual F22A tranny mounts, it'll be bolt-on ?

I need the F22A manual motor mounts too ?

Did I need to weld something ?
It's weird since it's from the same car and year but auto/manual difference..

                  Thank you !

Assuming you are using cb7 motor and manual tranny.
Use manual tranny mount and bracket. Rear engine mount and tranny is also different for manual tranny. Front and driver side mount from auto can be reused, even though the front mount is supposed to be different for manual trannies, I didnt see any difference but I bought one anyway just in case cause its cheap. Its easy man, lata

i was thinking today... couldn't you use a f22 5 speed mount out of a lude?

I think that would work, but that mount wouldn't bolt up to the 4th gen accord f22 5 spd tranny however it would bolt up to a h22 tranny or the 5th generation f22 tranny. This is just my guess from reading the link above, but i think it makes sense since when you swap a h22 you have to drill and thread certain locations on the h22 tranny to make the accord mounts work.

I think alot of you guys are getting confused here. The f and h series engines and trannies are interchangable with one another as far as bolt up, whether auto or manual. Now going from auto to manual is a different beast. Using the f series engine and tranny, requires rewelding. Using the h series engine with f series tranny requires rewelding. The tranny mount trick works for all all h series components only.
