Using the F series tranny from a CB WILL work.
If you swap an H22 and tranny, and want to use the CB7 Frame rail bracket you have to tap the extra boss on the H22 tranny and move one of the studs so that it will will bolt to a manual transmission CB7 mount.
This applies in the reverse direction for an F22 tranny. You will need to retap the extra boss if you want to put a 5th gen Accord or Prelude mount on the tranny. The cases are all identical as far as I can tell, and they ALL have accomodations for both different mounts. It will just require a little bit of work.
What evidence is there to support broken axles, with the no weld method? I haven't seen anything on here. You are changing the engine height like 1/4" which is much less severe on axle angles than a 3" ride height drop.
