Using the F series tranny from a CB WILL work.

If you swap an H22 and tranny, and want to use the CB7 Frame rail bracket you have to tap the extra boss on the H22 tranny and move one of the studs so that it will will bolt to a manual transmission CB7 mount.

This applies in the reverse direction for an F22 tranny. You will need to retap the extra boss if you want to put a 5th gen Accord or Prelude mount on the tranny. The cases are all identical as far as I can tell, and they ALL have accomodations for both different mounts. It will just require a little bit of work.

What evidence is there to support broken axles, with the no weld method? I haven't seen anything on here. You are changing the engine height like 1/4" which is much less severe on axle angles than a 3" ride height drop.

this is not true, the cases are not identical. the accord trannies have no accomodations for drilling/tapping for a prelude mount... if you tried, youd be drilling straight through the housing. if you had the casings next to each other youd clearly see, or at least tried lining up a prelude mount onto an accord tranny...

thats why i always say this 5g lude MT tranny mount trick only works for prelude trannies (most commonly h22, but h23 would work and im assuming a prelude's f22 tranny also [never worked with one so not sure]) because they can accomodate the prelude mount, a normal accord f22 tranny wont.

thanks for that back up cpMike. I don't have the hands on experience with this stuff. But I have searched several post that cpMike, sleepycb7 and tommi have posted to. everything makes sense as to what they speak of so i just try to spread this knowledge. i can go to a mod shop with confidence and tell them what they need to do to fix my ride because most shops deal with 5th gen accords and up, 4th gen ludes and up, and all civics and tegs. not many work on 4th gens in my area.
