    bolting down ecu

does the h22 ecu bolt down on the pass side floor like the normal f22 ecu? sorry for such a n00b question but somewhere in the back of my mind i believe that the h22 ecu can't be bolted down like the f22 ecu. i've searched and came up empty-handed.

if this is true, how did you guys bolt it down? is it just laying there? bungee cord? zip-ties? custom holder? thanks in advance fellas!

For me i left mine jsut laying down the carpet does the rest. You really dont need to have it held down with anything everytime someone gets it gets held down reguardless. That carpet has enough weight on it to keep it steady just turn it upside down or right side up and leave it in the first hole and it will be steady.

Mine just sits under the metal plate the original bolted too. The holes do not line up and I'm using a 95 lude ECU. You can always drill new holes and weld a bolt to the metal plate.

i drilled new holes throught the metal bracket to match up with the H22's ecu bolt pattern. i was using zip ties at first, didn't have any problems with it, just wanted a clean look even though you won't see it

the first time i swapped my motor, i did what you see below... i took them off a couple weeks later, and ever since then ive never done anything to hold it down, if u just lay it in place and put the carpet over it it will be fine.

thanks for responses guys. nice riggin mike. yeah all my buddies have them just laying there and one time something actually pulled loose and the motor hesitated! i'd rather be safe and try to secure it rather than have the motor lean out for some reason.

i have my ecu just sitting under the carpet..

ask stickydiljoe because his metal plate is still bolted on with the h22 ecu.

Excalibur I see that you are running Bride seats.... where did you get the brackets at? Ive heard they are on back order for the next 6 - 12 months.

                    ecu

should the ecu be fixed to the floor for a better grounding ??
