shit u shoulda bought a K24 for 750 just for the fact that u could turn around and sell that shit for triple to the civic SI guys. comptec superchargers made a civic SI with a K24 head pushin out well over 320 HP and they couldnt get traction in anything less than 3, only problem was that they couldnt use the stock SI cluster or navi i think

Originally posted by h22sparkleyeah like i said most shops i should know i work for one part time . I find nothng exciting waiting for a mount kit first of all wen i rather make my own i can get it done its not hard at all as far as custom and all then you gotta find the right halfshaft. Its not worth it but ontop of that it has no torque. dumping money in that yeah right i rather dump my money elsewhere and make more power and im still main more power than it for half the money it was worth

After thinking about this seriously, there is not much to gain. And I couldn't find anyone who wanted to sell me any K-series engines with tranny and wiring for less than $5,000. If VTAK power is what you are looking for, H22 is a much easier choice. If the stroke means that much to you, well stroke the H22.

but i know, you've spent a lot of time reading papers and being current on everything else.....can't be perfect.....not a lot of car info in the new york times........

Anyways it would be a lot better if they came up with a head swap kit rather than a full motor swap. They could take baby steps with the Accord/CR-V head on the F22/F23 block, then work their way up to the big daddy ITR/TSX heads. I was thinking about this today. All they have to do is get the sensors to work...and if they choose the ODBI ECU's to work from, they could piggyback something to control the i-VTEC. It wouldn't be that hard to do at all, especially considering the strides they made with understanding the B/H series ECUs.
