    Q: Will this fit?

    Will 17x7, 4x100 with a 42 offset fit our cb7's? or will a 4x114.3 fit?

You could get some wheel spacer adapters....however those are dangerous and really only good for putting fwd offset rims on rwd cars.

If you do manage to source some 4x114.3--->4x100 They are really rare from what I seen since the most common spacers found on e-bay do the opposite.

I saw a jdm set (probably quality i would trust) that convert 4x114.3 to 4x100. The set was taken off a silvia. It's really uncommon I think since most adapter kits being sold are the other way around. At one point I wanted to put some jdm civic modulo rims that look like the oem euro-r's just in 16's...but never came across an adapter. I bought some subzero copies and then I happened to see that adapter on e-bay. (2years back)

The dangerous things about them is that, the new extended wheel studs may be cheaply made and snap if they are too generic.

It's mainly for show really. I wouldn't consider it for daily driving use. It's the opposite if you are running say OEM 4-lug type-R's on a cb7 where u would need the spacers for clearance. These spacers just space out the hub...not add new cheap wheel studs.

If you like to race or run hard, I've heard your wheel bearings may also go out on you much quicker than normal.

This is an example of what the various conversion spacers look like.

yeah i was, sorry yes those are the specs for a set of 17's that would fit the CB7's. i believe you can get away with a 40mm offset if necessary.

Yep, you can...but be prepared to rub a little on a moderate drop, and probably rub more with a bigger drop, especially if you're using a 215/45 tire. Nothing rolling the fender or running a slightly smaller tire won't fix.

Thats why i mentioned finding a hard to find wheel spacer that'll convert it? That picture above was only used for an example of what they would look like.
(note example on the bottom of the picture) yup those are 4x100 versions.

4x114.3 to 4x100 downgrade spacers are rare but do exist... You can find 4x100 to 4x114.3 all day on e-bay. Custom ones that do the opposite of that are rare from what i've seen. I wanted some 4x100 wheels and bought me some rims...then i saw that jdm wheel spacers off a 4-lug nissan and then was shocked they had something like that. JDM parts are nice for that fact of being rare.

Ok found a picture of a ended e-bay auction here you go! I know e-bay links are not allowed...but I don't find this a EXTREME rare part since now by doing a good search...they are a dime a dozen?

                            http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260042734333

This auction has ended and this is a "off brand" one and doesn't look quality like the one i've seen 2years back.

This one looks thick and beefy but I wouldn't recommend it. Try finding a used or new jdm one thats from a respected company and purchse that.

Hope this helps.... New Civic or jdm 4x100 wheels anybody?
