How to Roll Fenders??? Rubbing Issues

Ok guys, I just put on some 17s but the tires on the rear wheels are 225/45/17. Yeah, I know, too bug. My boy had them on his CB and basically had the same drop as me. I'm lowered 2.25" (back might be 2.5" because it sits lower than the front) and the rear wheels rub. Everyone always says roll the fenders but what exactly do you guys mean?? My boy said that he used a plyer and bend the fender lip/edge inwards/upwards when he had them on so they dont rub. I did the same thing this morning but they rub a bit when making corners or when I hit a pothole. I dont think it hitting the control arm but it could be also. I see residue on the fender lip so I know it rubbing on the fender. Someone give me some info on rolling fenders..

          just a word of caution

be VERY VERY careful when rolling your fenders. because odds are, even if you do heat the paint up well and do it carefully, you WILL get paint peel or cracking

if your paint is in good condition and you have the funds, i'd suggest taking it to a shop and have them do it

                  On a CB7.... I wouldn't advise it though. How about a fender-grind?

a ton of people were doing it on AT a couple years ago, they all said they found the shape of the bat to be the easiest tool to use. going at an angle using the tire as a fulcrum, rolling the bat along the edge of the fender gave a nice even bend. ive never done it, but im going to have to soon, and this is the way im going to do it...

Alright, cool.... I've seen that technique before. I'd just be hesitant to practice on my own car. LOL So, someone has to drive and another person mans the bat?

nope.. you just roll the bat in between the tire and fender..

but if you have rusted fenders, the rust will all fall apart.
