prelude wheels hitting

I just bought some prelude blades off of a 95 prelude and I put them all on and when I turn to the right it hits like crazy. but not when I turn left. WTF I thought they were direct swaps? also I can use the same stock lugs right?

which blades did u GEt, the ones that look like gsr blades. of the saw blades that turn to the right

funny that you post this becasue i'm getting a sound when i turn my wheel all the way towards the right.

umm ok it was doing it when I turned to the right, then I switched the front wheels around now its doing it when I turn into the left, its going clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk when I turn, the faster I go the faster it clunks? umm the tires on them are 195/65 15 so there 5 higher but that shouldn't cause a problem? why is it only the one wheel. I was in the guys car when he came to exchange them and there was nothing wrong with them

I havent switched the wheels around..but thats the same ones I have, and they make the same described clunk ONLY when turned completely. I am running the OEM tire size (195/60/15) and did not have this sound start untilt he sawblades went on.


As far as I know my bearings are fine.

It happens with only like a half turn of the wheel and it's bad. It sounds and feels like the upper balljoint is popping but its obviously not. Tommorow I'm gonna switch with the rears

OH, is the balancing weight mounted on the inside of the rim? if it is, it rubs itself off every time it passes the knuckle...

Sounds like the wheel is bent, majorly out of balance, loose or broken wheel weight, or the wheel itself is damaged internally... When I first read this I was thinking CV axle or bad wheel bearing but if you have moved it from one side to another and it just happens where this one wheel is, then it definatly sounds like it is something with the wheel itself... Did the wheels come off of a wrecked car? Later

mine rubs too but only at full lock and only in reverse

hmmm interesting thought about the weights. but man you guys gotta read the thread before posting. the wheels are MINT and were on the guys prelude when he came over to switch with some wheels I had. I went in his car and they were fine

I found it, the wieghts are hitting the knuckels at full turn. Because I just realised the stock wheels are 5 1/2 inches wide and the prelude wheels are 6 1/2 inches wide, at full lock I can't even fit a finger between the wheel and the knuckle. Thanks for the help guys. now I need to get them rebalanced cause there fuckin bad I must have knocked a wieght off when testing it
