why you need to replace your struts

so i got a new koni/neuspeed race setup.

and we were taking the old stock struts off my car and after we got the springs off we compressed the struts.
this is what they look like a day later...

    STILL COMPRESSED!

that was with the original struts. a 1990 sedan.
keep in mind the car wasn't riding horribly it was how i got it.
so yeah you guys should replace them struts and get springs while your at it

uh... if by overboosted you mean "right the fuck on" then, sure, it is.

besides the fact the struts themselves are old, OEM struts cannot handle the spring rates on most aftermarket coils.

    ...adjust accordingly

both my virgin cb were the same, i thought the car was riding fine till i change the struts and coils then i was like THIS is how its suppost to ride BIG DIff
the first thing i change on both my cb was suspension, i mean everything bushings upper control arms, tie rods, ball joints strust springs, and the rear i just replaced all the bushings, after that my car was drivng like a 6.0 benz

Not my fault my dick only fits magnums.

                Heyyyyyyyyyyy. That looks familiar.

I had camber wear on both front tires at stock height...I didn't have a clue why, as my alignment was good.

Yes, both mine were blown, and my back ones were on their way out as well.

coils give the rebound, struts dampen, isn't it normal for struts not to return to the extended state? they're blown if the oil is all gone and they no longer dampen, but they're not supposed to rebound without coils on anyway. brand new ones will stay put.
