Is it just me, or is this spring BROKEN?

Probably been this way for thousands of miles. Noticed it today when (I thought) I was going to replace the rotors --- that'll have to wait it seems. Coating on the spring was already torn; I just peeled some more back to get a better look:

    Now, here's a closer look:

And I haven't even peeked at the other side yet. Guess I'll be doing springs and shocks quicker than I thought.

ur car is officially half a centimeter lower... haha yeah thats broken. rust sucks, no?

i was driving my car on springs like that for a while, it actually threw my camber off bad enough to wear the tire down unevenly.

Holy crap...a broken spring would explain why I'm cambered at stock height...interesting. Good excuse to throw in my Neuspeeds...

Now that (you all) mention it, my camber is off a little --- the insides of the tires are worn a little.

Gee, all this time I've had "increased steering response" and never knew it. Broken springs = poor man's handling mod?

Nope, sounds like you need an alignment

Yea, that's definitely a broken coil spring. At least yours was visible. Mine in the rear was fractured at the top, where the "hat" mounts on top of the coil spring/strut setup. So I could not see it until I took it apart because I was suspicious it was broke and I was right.

Yup, common on accords to have a broken spring like that. Mine has it and I took it to my alingment guy who is a friend of mine and he said its effecting the car in no way at all. So....i left it. Haha
