    Rear dash suggestions

So, my rear dash decides to vibrate like a mother bugger, and i cant seem to find out exactly what it causing it, however, its getting progressivly worse. IM looking at putting either foam, or dynomat replica (from home depot) on the rear dash metal, then foaming the top, but i cant come to a decision... can someone give me some insite as to what they have done, this thing rattles so much , it sounds like my sub is blown when it isnt.. thanks.

Carpet padding? You mean that multi fiber crap they put under the floor carpet between the floor pan's? That stuff is brutally expensive lol... I will take a look at the clips, how many are typically on the rear dash?

i dont think it will make much of a difference of what material you use, foam, or padding, as long as you do a decent job, it should stop the rattle... also put some foam or padding between the 2 bars in the trunk (the tension bars that cross the trunk) because they can rattle too.

Real way to do it is to weld the deck solid, It will stop the Rattles and will also Help stiffen the body

You might not notice this, but the cloth on the rear speaker panes tends to vibrate pretty bad.

After about 15years, the glue holding the fabric to the speaker grills tends to not work and at high amplitude low frequency sounds, the cloth vibrating against the grill will sound like something is loose....

I re-glued the cloth on my rear speaker grills and there is no more "vibrating noise". They look similar to this now...except they are tan.

Ok, so i was trying to remove the dash last night, but no go... i got the car in the garage right now waiting for me to take er out, but i cant seem to get the shoulder pad clipons removed, i know you need to take out the speakers, and remove the child saftey belt thing, but what else is there to remove to get the top fabric peice off? (im going to spray foam the portion of the frame, so it seals it, and gives me better sound, welding wont do shit with what im doing.)

EDIT: Nevermind, i got it all out... with broken clips
