Stock Speakers in 6th gen accords

i'm not sure if this is an occurance in earlier model accords or even in cb7's, but i pulled the stock front speakers out the other day to replace them with kenwood 2-ways, and i discovered that the stock speakers were pioneers. The power rating on them was shitty, but i thought it was interesting that the stock speakers were pioneers.

on a side note, ill give these to anyone within a little driving distance.

Yeah I believe Pioneer also was the OEM supplier for the 3rd gen too. Most of the OEM HU's in the 4th gen are Alpine. Good brand names but still stock specs.

            LOL

I've also found that later Hondas have much better stereo systems stock...I was in my uncle's '98 EX coupe and I was completely satisfied with the bass from the stock system.

LOL for real though! I'm somewhat of an audiophile...other than maybe adding an external amp and separate tweeters, as well as upgrading the headunit, the stock speakers are fine. I have 6.5s in my speakers at home and they get busy as well. Subs are overkill IMO.

Yep. I blew my stock speakers with the stock head unit back in '96.

stock speakers are aight for the person who wants to hear it at least, but if you want sound quality , goin something aftermarket is the best, those stock speakers are like paper quality...

Hey Ben, those speakers wouldn't happen to be 4" would they?
