Compatibility of Insight Module & H.I.D.'s?

Ive seen the diagrams for the wiring on the jdm lights, and using the h4 bulb for low beam and using the hight beam for drl, but my question is, will the diagram work the same way if you have HID's, or is it a lil different, any help would be appreciated, thanks

if ur putting the drl on the highs then it wont matter cause your low beams are the HIDS so it has nothing to do with it.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

So will the diagram that cp mike had up a while back would work, just follow it the same way?

the diagram i made up is for JDM headlamps, because the H4 bulb itself has two filaments and is made to work as both a highbeam and a lowbeam in certain applications... so what my diagram does is makes it so the H4 works as both, leaving the H1 available to use as a DRL bulb.

if your H4 HID setup only works as a lowbeam, which im assuming it does, then youre out of luck... unless you want to ditch highbeams completely...

I dont mind loosing the hight beam mike but will your diagram work for my set up.

            ^ yes.

you dont even really need my diagram at this point, if you have the HID setup on the H4's, leave them alone and unplug your highbeams. buy two new H1 connectors from autozone (generic 3 prong connectors that will fit em) and hook up the DRL module following the book that comes with it. the DRL output wire (yellow?) will get connected to one pin on each of the H1's, and the other H1 pin will get grounded to anywhere.

thats it... then your H4's will still be HIDs, the highbeams will be disconnected, and the H1's will work as dedicated DRLs.
