    H4 Black outs

    I like the black out look so i decided to do that today.... awsome pretty easy and agreat look for under 20 dallas...and i figured y not paint the whole thing while i was there..
    well i also like the CC2s with the fogs so what i did was bring the hole of the low beam fog light out a little bit so it will now exept an H4 bulb (RayBurgs of course) and am ganna get and put in a 9006 yellow bulb.. i believe thats our low beam light... but this way its a great fog with out being TOO blinding.. anyways heres some pix... of what i got... none on the car yet, i gotta get the sealant and a bulb for the fog first... then ill post the pix of it on the car

    Hey copy cat j/k. I did the same thing it looks way better than that ugly 15 year old greyish color. Once you open the hood and you look at it your like damn i did a good job lol.
    I cheated on my cb7 with an e30.....Not cool. I will be a honda boy at heart though woop woop

      lol.,... so you painted the whole thing black too or u did the H4...
      yea it looks WAY better.....
      but if anyone has done the H4 before is there a problem with the heat diff... cause i put it in befor sealing it and the little sheild on the light was smokin.... i wasnt sure if it was just cause i washed them and it was just burnin something off or what not... but either way its tight and i found im ganna use a 9040 bulb.. its a 37 watt yellows that r usualy used as a DRL in chevys... agian ill post pix when i get it in.. lates

        wheres xplode to complain about how the housings arent made to reflect that beam pattern?

        lol... as long as you dont blind people, it looks like you did a really good job.

          well the beam pattern isnt that much bigger but it is brighter. so its not ganna get any higher then the stock one im just thinkin the high beam/now fog area as to its reflectancy being spread... but then again thats what a fog is at times... and besides im going with a 37 watt bulb vs the high beem 65 so i wont know till i try....

            Wait so you have H4 bulbs in the 9006 housing? While I applaud the effort I can't say the optics will be too good...I have something else in mind that I'll post in another thread...check it out...

              yea after gettin it out it doesnt have that effect i was lookin for so ill have to swap it change it up... like the h4 in the high beam area... cause the H4 has its own sheild for cut off...so it wouldnt be blinding.... and then i can put the yellow one in the low and it would be cut off so i wouldnt kill anyone....
              OR... leave it as it is... use the low beam H4 for a DRL then headlight would run the H4 high..((wich is realy bright but not blinding.)) and then just have the high beam the high beam... hmm... dunno

                got new pix...

                this is the new low beam...

                and the high beam....
                when looking at this was i was thinking of doing is make the high beam area the h4 bulb so in both housings is a low beam and then the insides high... i think it would look good all lit for a driving light.. but as figured before the reflectors shape messes with all that so ill see.... the post....

                    you like those yellow fogs?

                    just like gloryaccordy said, get some pictures of them up against the wall. can't wait to see the final turnout after its all completed.

                            The paint he has used is the paint people use to paint there engine parts. Its a high heat paint. You can get that paint at your local auto zone or any other auto place. Its high heat automotive paint. I used 500 degrees for mine and it works fine.

                              Wow, the beam pattern isn't that far from stock. Good job! I'm gonna try my H4 mod still though (swapping a whole sealed beam housing for our lowbeams...it will fit!!!)...hopefully that'll go well. I'll get that ECE beam pattern...
