    What H I D?????

    ok i am about to buy a set of hids. Ok now i know my lows are 9005 and highs 9006 but what is that in the H term like is it H1 H2 H3 H4 what????. B.c i read the sticky on our lights in this forum but it said we have H4 but that is for jdm only so what is it for a usdm. Thats all

    USDM is just 9005/9006, thats it... no H names for them. the H things are a different style connector, i think its a japanese thing. w/ the JDM headlights u use H1/H4 bulbs.

      wrong, your lows are 9006 and your highs are 9005.. H series bulbs are for different housings.,. which you dont have..

        so lets say that i want to get hids and just put them in one of the sockets which one would it be and which H would it be h1 h2 h3 h4????

          you would get 9006 if you actually want it to fit.

              none of those, its 9006 a different bulb.

                the 900# series bulbs is more of a U.S. standard. only recently have the european and japanese started using the 900# bulbs for headlamps/fogs. most have been using h1/h3/h4/h7/h9.

                given that... a 9006 bulb is also known as an hb4. NOT an h4, but an hb4.

                  just like usc has nicely stated that a 9006 bulb is a bulb in its own it doesnt belong to the h series because it is a different bulb... if you want a kit thats goign to work you need a 9006 HID kit..
