    headlight swap

I know that a 92 headlight will not fit a 90 plug and play. Is there a way to put a 92 into a 90, i.e. swapping headlight hangers?

its definetly possible because I sold my stock headlights to someone with a 90-91 and he got them on.

This person is selling 92 headlights with A6 projectors retrofitted in them, but i didn't know if they could be fitted on my car. Guess i might just retrofit my own projectors seems like too much to try and fit them on there.

They are pretty much the same except you will need a 92-93 grill cause the 92-93 are slightly longer towards the grill.

i pulled over and looked under the hood.

so your saying that the vertical fitment is ok, and the brackets are the same, just the horizontal size is a little different?

the lights mount the same and fit fine, besides a little bit of the horizontal size. the 90 grill may very well fit between the 92 headlights, but it wont be perfect, but dont quote me on it. i know u can cram the 92 grille between 90 headlights, but it doesnt look quite right. u should try to keep the headlights w/ their same year grille.
