    Thin Side Moldings

Anyone have these? Did they even make them for our car in Japan? Anyone who does have them what does the difference between stock look like? Anyone know where I can get them if they did make them? Thanks.

I know this one JDM Ebay seller who gets our 1990-1993 Honda Accord 4door thin moldings, if look hard enough you'll find them on ebay. Sorry I can't give out the ebay sellers names according to CB7tuner rules. Aight man, look hard and you'll find him on ebay. Hope that helps a bit, laters.

as i understand, the thin mouldings were a european thing? perhaps they had them in japan too. the only sets ive really heard about (including the set my friend bought) were EDM from somewhere in europe.

Yeah, I've always heard them referred to as EDM moldings

They are available in Japan as well. I think they look cleaner...but USDM sets protect the car far much better in my opinion. My first cb7 was perfect with no dings whatsoever until I started my highschool job. From there I got nasty gashes from stupid SUV's/ High lifted trucks etc opening their damn doors on my car in the parking lot. The mouldings from there got lots of battle damage but if they were the jdm/edm units.... they wouldn't probably dinged the car metal itself. too.
I need a custom turbo manifold built....

thanks for the picture 604. those mouldings are 90-91. the 92-93 version were just as thin, but not quite as tall. they are hard to see in my pic.

i like the thin mouldings because they match the mouldings on the F&R bumpers... the USDM ones stick out significantly further, but of course its a tradeoff, cleaner vs. more protection

I know I’m still a new member here, but sorry to burst your bubbles guys. The J-SPEC/ JDM CB6 (Yes I know they were made in USA and sold over to Japan) chassis does have “Thin Moldings”. I can prove it with my trusty JDM CB6 accessories catalogue (sorry guys I don’t have a scanner, had to use my camera instead):

Here’s the front cover of the catalog:

And here is the back of the catalog (bought this from Honda Clio in Japan):

There was only 1 full shot of the CB6 in the catalog and here it is (front side shot):

                            The rear side half shot:

If its still to hard to tell, yes they are thin moldings when I saw this in the catalog with my own eyes. Just wanted to clear up the confusing you guys had “if the JDM 2door model had thin moldings?” Aight, laters.

that clears things up.. but the side mouldings have a different contour to them..
