there were a few jdm 1 piece headlights that came blackhoused, though i was under the impression that they weren't so dark.

but even if they didn't come that way, they are obviously black housed in the pictures... so yes, they are real.

i didnt know about these.

i know they are obviously blackhoused. i was dwelling on the fact that i havent heard anyone talk about REAL blackhousing's. i thought that he might have lied and painted them. thanks for the info EL. so, there such thing as a SI 90-93? and what parts where exclusive such as the lamps?

ive never seen genuine blackhousings, but its from a Accord Si CB4... most normal onepieces are from CB3's. ive seen like smoked ones before, they were a darker grey, but they werent blackhousings...

edit: looks like the chrome trim on these is black. kinda cool.

there was a 2.0 si exlusive.

i would assume one difference would be the 2.0 engine (versus the 2.2). other differences are probably interior accents, options vs. standard features, etc.

all jdm headlamps are all nippleless, unlike our american version. as far as i understand it, the 1 piece headlight was on all sedans. wagons and coupes had a 2 piece headlights, like ours (minus the nipples of course).

perhaps bustedlx, 93accordEX, or timmyotool will chime in... though the classified section may not be the greatest section for viewing.

as cpmike said, i knew there were 1 piece headlights with a darker "tint" to them, but i didn't/don't know if there are true blackhousing headlights.

no headlights came like that. Maybe they were painted in japan (Im sure people over there want to make their cars look nice too)and thats how he got them so maybe he really does believe they weren't painted. What I have seen is headlights that have a black strip on the top and bottom, which is normally silver on the 1 pieces. that makes them look darker, but they aren't actually blackhousing.

I would think by now, that if authentic blackhousings really did exist for cb7's that more than one set would have ever appeared on ebay or elsewhere...even the jdm distributors in japan don't sell em...that's gotta tell ya something

he could technically have his ebay auction taken down if someone reported false advertising

they were custom done....If you look at the black on them you will see it is not glossy like what the ones from japan look like. They are 100% real JDM headlights but are custom painted like mine.

Just thought i would add my opinion.

lol someone's gonna be pissed when they install the headlights and accidentally run their finger nail across the outer plastic and paint chips come flying off

just in case anybody cared about what myself and uncle_el were referring to, i found my pic of the jdm headlamps that have the darker tint to them. i wonder why they arent being sold anywhere? i wouldnt mind having a set.

those look like they have black inside on the glass and the housing is reflecting the black, making it look darker. i kinda dig how that looks, you have any more pics of them?

but just like everyone mentioned, the ones in the auction have the inside chrome frame pieces painted too, which never came on any of our gen accords, including the cb4 4ws models


I'm most likely going to paint mine just like that above pic though and paint the bottom inside of the glass when painting the chrome piece as well...looks nice

thats the only pic i have, i found it back before i even had a cb7. it was from an ebay auction... i originally planned to get a set of those, but havent seen them again since

if i ever decide to take apart my jdm headlights, im gonna paint them the same way (which will be hard to do because i re-sealed one of them with this epoxy clay stuff)

uncle_el, were those the ones you were referring to also?
