yep believe it or not, when i was installing my LED for my alarm next to my cruise control switch, the switch was stamped "alpine" on the back. many things in hondas, not just speakers and audio, are made by alpine (also denso and ns).
it's funny but the gathers headunit picks up TV signals when used in the US since the frequencies are different. i dunno about the other OE one 4drcord posted. and yes the knob still turns clockswise to increase the volume (everything remains the same in RHD cars besides being on the other side; clutch pedal placement, gearing location, knobs, gauges, etc).
dang you've been posting a lot of JDM goodies lately. do you have a new source?
