    Trim

Thanks to 20 years in the arizona sun my black trim is starting to fade and turn grey, I was going to try plasti-dipping it but I decided I don't want to do that. My questions are, can I order brand new trim from anywhere (oem from honda possibly?)?

and how hard is it to put on and line up? is it just attached with glue?

Rock auto might have door molding. But you could just paint them instead..

TAS auto if you really set on new ones but $$$

i need to paint mine toobut im afraid to. for some reason honda decided to make the front fender piece out of a different plastic then the moulding on the doors. so its a different color and nothing makes it dark anymore besides shoe polish haha so i might as well paint.

I've had to deal with the sun of Texas, and I found a good solution is to slather some of this on it, and be amazed. Multiple applications might be required, and depending upon how much exposure to the sun, re-application might be needed more frequently.

If you do decide to get new trim, make sure you get some extra clips if they do not come with them.

Alright thanks guys, and as far as trim polish or whatever, I've tried a couple different things and it's mostly just a waste, I think if I get my car painted I'm just going to replace all of the trim

I painted mine. I used bumper trim spray from the auto parts store. Works pretty good. i also used it to respray a lip and it came out looking great also. Worth a try since its only 5 bucks a can

Do I have to take the trim off anyways? How do you get it off?

You can take the trim off. But you can also spray it while its on the car. Make sure to clean the trim first throughly. I just masked the area around the trim with tape and newspaper to make sure i didnt get any spray on the car. did 2 coats, and all set

I tried masking it off today but wasted a ton of time cause it was a huge paint in the ass, how difficult is it to take the trim off?

not sure how since i never took it off. But I think you have to take the inside door panel off to get to the trim clips.

Just took it off my 90 getting ready for paint. On front doors, there is a nut at the rear end and a couple clips that you have to remove the inner door panel to access and the whole thing has double sided tape top and bottom. Rear doors just have clips. On the fenders, you can access the two clips by undoing the fender liner (these have no adhesive). If you have a long narrow blade, you can start at the rear and cut the tape, but the adhesive is VERY difficult to remove. I plan to put new ones after my paint job. I'm not sure a used one will go back on very well.
