    Home made body kit

    anyone every made a lip or body kit for a 4g?
    i was thinking about it because i would rather make it than buy it.
    learning experience.

    what materials are ok to use?
    uh... if by overboosted you mean "right the fuck on" then, sure, it is.

          for the amount of time and effort it's going to take for you to make your own, and with no design experience, it's probably not going to turn out like you had planned.. why not just go and buy a nice lip kit?

          but hell, if you have the knowledge and creativity to make a custom kit by all means post pics of your progress because that would be quite the undertaking

            for the mold i would use those blue styrofoam 4'x8' sheets of insulation you can get at lowes. cut them to the dimensions you need, then glue the faces together to build up the size. you can then carve whatever you want into the mold. lay fiberglass over it and you're good. this is what the solar car team at my school does and what the SAE team used to do.

              I thought I was gonna see something made out of cardboard lol. But good luck with it. Foam would be a good start to build up what you would want it to look like then make the pieces and finish it off with fiberglass.
