Is it possible to fix a cracked visor?

So i paid $40 for a OEM honda visor for my 92 accord, which was discontinued awhile ago. Well when I got it, with my luck and poor packaging, its cracked in two pieces.


Does anyone know how I can fix this? I tried mounting it like this, but it hangs down at the crack. Tried an epoxy, but it doesnt hold. These visors are made of plastic right? It was a plastic epoxy I tried. Open to any suggestions.

i mean it wil always be cracked, but u can glue it i guess and it wont look cracked

Return it and get your money back. You might be able to find some in a junkyard MAYBE. It looks somewhat repairable then it looks like your at a total loss so dunno.

I'm TRYING to return it and get my money back, but I didn't buy it from a store I bought it off a user here, so that's going to be a headache to do. I'll try tho, so it defiently can't be fixed?

You can try taking it to a good body shop and ask them to see if it is fixable. I think the visors are made out of fiberglass or plastic? But id check on that first and see what the people say about it.

its plastic so you could try plastic welding it.....its basically like welding metal but using plastic....or if you dont care about looks drill little holes on each side of the crack and criss cross wire ties...kinda like weaving it together. do whatever works man. good luck.

yeah this happened to me too.

use JB weld! works on plastic too

use a soldering iron with a crappy tip that you dont want to save, and melt the halves together.. sand it smooth and polish it the bootleg method of plastic welding...

couldnt u also use some kind of resin or something on it too?
