The chrome trim on the CB7's looks ok I think but for a "panda" look I think flat black would look better. Is there a way to actually remove the trim...or would you just need to mask it all off?

im in the process of blacking mine out... when i get my car painted, im gonna have them remove it and paint it flat black. at the moment im blacking it out with electrical tape, which honestly, looks a lot better than one would think, and its cheap as dirt. they sell chrome trim blackout tape, but ive never tried it.

Hey uncle of el, is that spray stuff in a bottle in the black CB7's how-to for tinting the windows or what? I'm getting stuff for this tomorrow and I want to know EXACTLY what I need. I already have an X-Acto knife...and that's all.
that is an awesome pictorial and that CB7 is so hot it's not even funny...Last edited by ProjectCB7; 03-01-2004, 05:05 PM.+ '93 Accord EX - CB7 - Frost White w/ Dark Blue = teh s0ld (ilikebigbutts)

u mean that can of Invisible Glass? thats glass cleaner.
ive always loved patastinky's car, i think its beautiful! he was selling it a while back, my friend was considering buying it... but it looks like he decided to keep it and work on it.
and i still recommend electrical tape, its 33cents for a roll big enough to do both sides. and whats this about that specialty chrome blackout tape peeling off and leaving the adhesive?Last edited by cp[mike]; 03-01-2004, 05:15 PM.

as far as the original question goes, it seems that blamethepunx has experience using spray paint on the chrome trim, but he did not remove the trim. his car can be seen here in the member's ride forumLast edited by uncle_el; 03-01-2004, 07:44 PM.

well...
I bought the blackout trim stuff...and ended up using eletrical tape. Luckily I didn't buy the 10 dollar one. It looks pretty damn good IMO. The chrome makes a white car look dumb I think. Now the only chrome on my car is the interior trim, the inside handle and the chrome ring around the shifter. I'm pretty pumped. I took a few night pics just now but they're funny. So I'll probably do a day light shoot tomorrow if it's nice.+ '93 Accord EX - CB7 - Frost White w/ Dark Blue = teh s0ld (ilikebigbutts)
