how do i remove the rear quarter panel side molding?

this piece is messed up already, so i dont care if i break it even more.

but isnt there a certain way to pull it?
like my first idea was to use a flathead screwdriver and pry it out, but im worried that i will mess up the paint of my car or dent the panels too.

the top and bottom edges are held on by double sided tape, plus a row of clips along the center that you need to unpop from the inside... remove your interior panel from that side and youll see

aww, it seems like a lot of work to remove the interior panel
i think i will just rip it out from the outside

you can always use some dental floss or fishing line to slice through the double sided tape, then you can rip it out from the clips..
