ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

kinda, not so much cause of the weather...but when i would break hard sometimes the light would come on and then a friend of mine told me to check the master cylinder and it was pretty much empty...i filled it and problem solved....check the lines and see if ne thing is dripping also if u think its leaking

yeah, the problem started a while ago, but the light only came on when I cornered sharply. it would only stay on for a second or two though. now it stays on for a lot longer, temperature dependant. the car has been slowly leaking something around the front driver-side wheel well, and I kind of figured it was either a brake line or the suspension...I guess now I know. thanks

they're saying the light is on because the fluid is low....which actually has nothing to do with the e-brake itself. I don't even think the light would go on if the cable broke, not sure on that one though

ok so heres my thing... the fluid only affects your main brakes... so i dont see how bein low would cause your e-brake light 2 come on. im thinkin that maybe the problem might be that ur e-brake is adjusted 2 tight 2 the point were its kickin the light on.

and no the light wouldnt be on if your cable broke because there wouldnt be any tension on this cable 2 activate the switch

well the brake light would come on if the fluid is low. There is a sensor attached to the reservoir cap that has two wires hooked up to it, that's to monitor the brake fluid level in the Master Cylinder. Yeah fluid's probably the culprit, it happened to me awhile back, when you corner, the fluid gets pushed to one side, and esp. if its low, the light will come on. Be sure to use DOT 3 or 4.

but that still has me confused... how does the fluid have anything 2 do with something thats cable operated. i jus dont seem have any idea how that works

it doesn't...the light just serves multiple purposes. it lets you know when the e-brake is engaged and when you're low on brake fluid.
