ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

ROH conversion going to happen sooner than expected

Ok, So I was looking to do the ROH. Decided to let my car sit for the winter so I can finish school and get money after. Well looks like I might get an internship. Need the car. So, ROH materials time.
Bisi have the F series headers yet? If not... i'll have to decide on something else.

    ROH materials:

98-99 Acura 2.3CL front hub assemblies
    90-93 Accord wheel bearing assemblies
98-02 Accord or 98-99 Acura 2.3CL front rotors
90-93 Accord pads (for Akebono or Nissin front calipers)
    retain stock caliper

    So, next set of questions:
    calipers, I have
Accord pads- I have... the ones with the split in the middle, Akebono I think
I can get the 2.3cl rotors easy peasy
accord wheel bearing assemblies I have
Where can I get the 2.3cl front hub assemblies?
    - I'm not sure exactly what to look for. I think there are like 3-4 pieces that I just swap out of my accord assemblies. Anyone have pics of what I'm looking for? If I walk into an auto place and ask for the 2.3CL front hub assemblies, will they know what they are?

ie: Where do I get them

    Thanks guys.
I'll try to do a DIY when I get all of the parts.

You are better off with brembo blanks than those ebay crosdrilled.

"98-02 Accord or 98-99 Acura 2.3CL front rotors"
        Personally they perform the same.

hubs must be from the dealership! the DIY guide on here should have the part number... its like $90/side. they are not produced aftermarket, i have tried.

          bearings you have

rotors you can use anything you find a good deal on. 5g acc, CL, drilled, blank, whatever

only use bigger prelude or wagon rotors if youre going to use the calipers to match.

I got mines cl hubs off ebay. I ended up messaging all the honda salvage places they had until i found a place. I got mines for $99 shipped i was shocked when i recieved the package and it came complete with knuckles and all so i can't complain. thats usually the best way to get parts that you don't see.

From what I understand, I should go with the 99CL bearings, rotors, and (obveously) hub assembly.

Bearings and rotors should be pretty easy. Not sure where to get the hub assembly.

Yeah, I was thinking about dealerships or junkyards for the assembly.

So EITHER accord or CL rotors work, dispite the minor differences?

are there really any differences? the hubs are different, i dont think the rotors are.

whats the benefit of brembo blanks vs oem replacement rotors?

98-99 Acura 2.3CL front hub assemblies (need)
90-93 Accord wheel bearing assemblies (have)
98-02 Accord or 98-99 Acura 2.3CL front rotors (need)
90-93 Accord pads (for Akebono or Nissin front calipers) (have)
                      retain stock caliper (have)

what about the bearings? I'm assuming 90-93 bearings will work fine?

brembo makes a very good quality, solid rotor. id say they are as good (or better?) than oem rotors, for a good price. much better than any other random semicheap brand.

that list is everything you need. and yep the 9093 bearings work fine.

really the only things youre changing are the hub and rotor - the CL hub matches the CB7 suspension/bearing perfectly, but its face is designed to sit behind the rotor, and matches the rotor placement. and of course pads and bearings would be idiotic not to change while doing everything else

this gives you two benefits: ease of changing rotors, as well as the option of larger rotors
